Tree Species Selector for Dallas and North Central Texas


This section is a guide for selecting appropriate trees for your regional landscape. Taking note of the relative tree sizes, select a tree from the clickable image map choices below to retrieve specific information regarding your tree of interest. The tree images are listed alphabetically for convenience. A relative maximum growth height scale is on the left of each row of images to give an indication of relative sizes.

When you click a tree image below, another page will display the tree species Information.  Each tree page describes general physical properties, growth property details, soil/water/sun requirements and brief details about specific needs and problems pertaining to your selected tree. After viewing the tree information, click the return button to come back to this page.
